What better way to recapture the feelings of your long ago youth than by listening to music of the 1960s and 1970s? Relive the era when Motown music ruled the airwaves and blared from speakers everywhere. Jive to soul singers Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Four Tops, the Jackson Five, plus rhythm and blues singers Smokey Robinson and the Temptations. Whether it’s gospel, rhythm and blues or soul, it’s feel-good music reminiscent of a simpler time. Come hear Central Virginia’s oldest and largest adult choir accompanied by guitars and drums perform a rousing lineup of hits and go home energized.
The program is supported in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, which receives support from the Virginia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency; the Schewel Charitable Foundation; the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation; and the Easley Foundation.
