Join Maddie Sisson, Lead Specialist for Family Learning at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, as she explores the friendship of George Washington and Patrick Henry. This virtual talk, streaming LIVE on Red Hill’s social media pages, will delve into how these two pivotal figures shaped the American Republic and maintained a friendship despite political differences and distance. Through their personal letters, Sisson will highlight the intersections of their lives and the enduring bond they shared.  

Maddie Sisson is a museum educator dedicated to making history accessible. She holds a Joint Bachelor’s Degree in History from William & Mary and the University of St. Andrews, as well as a Master’s in Teaching in Museum Education from George Washington University. Since June 2023, she has served as Mount Vernon’s Lead Specialist for Family Learning.
