Laura Sprouse is a partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brown Edwards, with over 25 years of accounting experience. As CEO, she is responsible for executing the Firm's overall strategic plan, including acquisitions and organic growth, the Firm's administration, and its financial management. Before she took on the role of CEO in May of 2024, she served as the Chief Operating Officer for 7 years, leading the Firm's internal administrative teams, including information technology, human resources, finance, and business development, and spearheaded many of the Firm's special projects. The Firm has grown from $25m to $80m during her tenure as COO and CEO and has become a Top 75 Accounting firm nationally, as identified by Inside Public Accounting (IPA), and is the largest independent CPA firm headquartered in Virginia based on number of CPAs as awarded by Virginia Business. 


Sue Ott Rowlands became the 11th president of Randolph College in March 2022, following a distinguished career in higher education and professional theatre. She previously served as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Northern Kentucky University and held leadership roles at Virginia Tech, the University of Toledo, and The Ohio State University. As a theatre professional, she has been the founding artistic director of Glacity Theatre Collective and the Cleveland Women's Theatre Project, as well as associate artistic director of Round House Theatre in Washington, DC. A member of Actor's Equity Association, Ott Rowlands has performed and taught worldwide, conducting residencies in countries such as India, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Hungary. She remains active in creative research, international arts exchanges, and study abroad initiatives, with faculty appointments at prestigious institutions including NYU, Circle-in-the-Square, and the Cleveland Play House.
