Lynchburg, VA – [July 23, 2025] – The Board of Directors of the Downtown Lynchburg Association (DLA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Stacy Garrett as the organization’s next Executive Director. Garrett will officially begin her role on August 27th.
For the past twenty years, Garrett has served as the Executive Director of the Miller Home for Girls in Lynchburg, where she built a reputation for strong leadership, community collaboration, and organizational growth. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Administration and Supervision from Longwood College. Garrett and her husband, David, live in Downtown Lynchburg, where they enjoy the vibrant downtown community, local dining, recreation, music, and arts. She can often be found on the trails each afternoon.

Garrett steps into leadership as DLA celebrates more than 25 years of service to Downtown Lynchburg. The organization looks forward to continuing the momentum built over the past two decades and raising the profile of both DLA and Downtown Lynchburg.
